Banknotes are available in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 lira, while coins are available in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 kuruş, as well as 1 lira. When visiting Turkey, it’s advisable to exchange your currency for the Turkish lira, as it is the widely accepted form of payment throughout the country.
